Field Guide Entry #116
Blinkthorn
Netherkin • The Gloom Caverns • 2026 sighting
Appearance
Rounded gremlin form with deeply carved texture and softly muddled details. Finished in earthy green-brown glaze with cool turquoise horn tips that catch the light before Blinkthorn does.
Small wings tucked close to the body and oversized feet planted firmly, as if bracing for whatever he believes is approaching. Wide bowl opening suitable for salt, trinkets, or items he picked up thinking they were something else.
Known quirks
- Squints thoughtfully at empty space
- Waves back at objects that are not waving
- Leans forward instead of stepping closer
- Refuses to admit anything is wrong with his eyesight
Personality notes
- Blinkthorn is gentle, shy, and determinedly self-sufficient, even when mildly disoriented.
- Among the Netherkin, he is appreciated for his politeness, his optimism, and his ability to nod along convincingly through conversations he may not fully be following.
