Field Guide Entry #105
Hazelmae
Burrowfolk • Meadowvale Pastures • 2026 sighting
Appearance
Rounded, weighty hippo form with a smooth, river-worn silhouette. Finished in a soft, earthy glaze with subtle variations that suggest depth rather than decoration.
Wide, open bowl interior with a glossy finish, designed to hold essentials, odds-and-ends, or whatever needs to be set down before continuing. Small ears, steady eyes, and a grounded stance that suggests she has already thought this through.
Known quirks
- Takes up space intentionally
- Observes without interrupting
- Rarely reacts, always notices
- Improves stability simply by existing nearby
Personality notes
- Hazelmae is calm, confident, and deeply uninterested in chaos.
- She does not seek attention, approval, or permission.
- Among the Burrowfolk, she is trusted to keep things from escalating — not by intervening, but by reminding everyone what solid footing feels like.
- She is gentle, but immovable.
- Kind, but not flexible.
