Hucklebruin

Burrowfolk • Meadowvale Pastures • 2026 sighting

Hucklebruin, a handmade Burrowfolk Counter Critter in Meadowvale Pastures

Appearance

Rounded, sturdy bear form with glossy ears, planted paws, and a broad sculpted snout resting at the rim of his bowl. Finished in deep woodland brown glaze with carved fur texture wrapping his body like a slightly rumpled winter coat.

His interior glows in rich amber and caramel swirls, like warm syrup caught in morning light. His wide open mouth reads less as roar and more as “oh!

pardon me.”

Known quirks

  • Asks permission before taking crumbs
  • Nods respectfully at toast
  • Blinks at coffee like it’s a formal introduction
  • Thanks the counter for holding him
  • Pauses mid-snack to ensure everyone else has enough

Personality notes

  • Hucklebruin is not slow — he is considerate.

  • Among the Burrowfolk, he is known for steady paws, warm presence, and the ability to be both enormous and apologetic at the same time.

  • He is very polite.
